High quality and nice variety, but small-ishMar 29, 2010
Well worth exploring the differences in flavors by regions as each are quite unique. Having them in different strengths adds a lot and allows one to experience the full range of each flavor. Being able to directly compare the 77% to the 55% of the same region adds a lot to it as well, even if you have a general preference for one or the other concentration.
Of course, you will develop a favorite among the regions and concentrations, making you wish you had more of it, which leads me to the only problem I had: The bars are smaller than the boxes they come in. That is, they are significantly smaller to the point that they slide around inside the boxes (not just rattle, but actually slide). While these bars are 55 grams and still a good size even for a chocolate-lover, they appear as if they should be closer to 70 or so for the boxes' size.
Still, it's very good chocolate and a well-designed pack otherwise... The little gold mesh bag around the pack is a nice touch too (although I don't know that that is a constant thing for the pack). Really, I can't knock off a star just because I wish the bars were the size of the boxes; the chocolate is that good. Although this does make them slightly pricier than I had realized when I got them, I'd definitely recommend getting them for anyone who enjoys dark chocolate. They're worth it.

Just tried this chocolate--it's my new favoriteMay 16, 2009
My daughter is studying in Ecuador and just sent me three bars, one from each region. They are wonderful! Not overly sweet, or strong. The flavor is very smooth and each one unique. I imagine that the fact that the chocolate is produced in Ecuador, using fresh local ingredients, is what makes the quality so good.
